I wouldn’t have said a word about the dash cam until I was in court and questioning the officer about the stop. Then the state’s attorney and the judge would get to see and hear everything. After that I’d show the chief of police or sheriff accordingly.

I drove professionally for 32 years and am now retired. Damm that could have gone bad, glad it didn't. It was amazing he apologized. Most officers I met over the years were great. And yuppers there were a few who should never have been given a badge. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day 🌤.

The main reason I got my dash cam was to protect myself from bogus tickets if ever given one. Ive had it a few years now and havent been pulled over. Maybe the reason is I have a dash cam so im paying more attention to my driving, mostly my speed since the dash cam posts the speed limit right on it then shows my speed right below it, if I go over the spees limit the dash cam beeps annoyingly.

Loved this video. Probably would not have been apologetic had it not been for the dash cam, however, he calmed down and was humbled. $hit happens but he'll think 2x before doing this again. We all have bad days. Big brother is always watching us.

Maybe stop for those red lights. And yes the light turning red halfway through the turn is running a red. That means the light was yellow for a long time and you knew it was. Not like you couldn’t have stopped easily but that would have been inconvenient.

Arkansas, I-30W, 2002. Truck governed at 62, speed limit 65, coasting downhill at 69-70 with no traffic within a full quarter mile. State trooper pulls me over with barely a shoulder to park my rig, literally left tire on the white line. I jump to the passenger seat and open the door. Troopy actually walks up me driver side and climbs up on my rig when he can't see me. I motion him to my side and his face turns red and he begins yelling at me to get in the driver's seat. I shake my head and again motion him to my side. He jumps down and I hear a car horn blast as several vehicles pass the rig. He stomps around the front of my rig and immediately starts screaming at me to get out of the truck. I grab my paperwork and comply. Dude gets right in my face blowing spittle as he berates me for not obeying his command to get in the driver seat and I don't tell him what to do and who the hell do I think I am?!? When he finally stopped breathing in my face I said that I was in the passenger seat for his safety, because I didn't want to see him smashed on the highway by a passing vehicle. Apparently that wasn't a good enough reason, because he stated that his safety wasn't my concern and then proceeded to write me a 70 in a 65. That cost me $285 and a point. F*** 'em. If one is stupid enough to not see what I intended and gets mushed I certainly won't be rendering any aid to them.
